sigh of relief.
wtf was all that crap we struggled through for so long? I have decided this year i am ignoring 85% political talk (I will be interested should any laws, amendments or Executive Orders be created).
im going to start up a few of my hobbies again, and i am ringing in the brand new year a single woman. Best news evaaarrr!!!
this time a year many people make resolutions. Of course, by Jan 14 most have been forgotten or broken etc. want less stress? Dont make any.
you are not required to create a set of brand new laws to run your life around. If you are wanting to quit an activity like smoking or overeating or overspending, do it! It will happen for you once you get done making all the excuses of why you cant. Like, it’s just too hard, not the right time, too expensive, im not strong enough to stop.
guess what? Yeah the fuck you are!! What will happen is about 3 things- youll make so many excuses NOT to while at the same time continuing to do it, youll try a few times to quit but never put the needed work & focus towards it and take it seriously, or- youll get sick of your own shit and get it done.
normally it takes me to get to the point where no excuse actually excuses me from trying. Its like the alarm in the morning when you have hit snooze 20 times and you are already late and you finally say “Screw it! Im up!”.
why not make a different list? Something you will want to do or will look forwarding to doing?
With all this quarantine stuff restaurants are not in good shape. They survive off us being hungry. And food is the absolute best! Perhaps a new resolution could be try and eat at the places around you that you havent been to yet. Maybe once a week or even just twice a month for a treat. What about finally getting a new pair of reading glasses or some bright colored gloves that make you smile?
want to lose weight but struggle on diets? Start small. Choose drinks that all have zero calories. A Coke a Cola is like 240+ calories for a 12 oz can. If you drink 3-4 a day thats like a pound youve just gained only from a soda. There are many zero calorie sodas that dont have that stereotypical diet taste. Water has zero and it can be fancied up in so many ways! Add chunks of cut lemon or cucumber, orange slices or sugar-free flavor packets. You can try adding cut strawberries to ice cube trays and freezing fun ice to go in your beverages.
save the calories for your food intake. Youll need as many as you can get for brain function and muscle health etc. men should not eat below 1800 calories a day. Women should go no lower then 1300 a day.
Sometimes being dehydrated comes across as feeling hungry. Stomach growls and all! Before eating right away, drink a tall glass of beverage.
easy snacks for keeping weight off can be plain popcorn in a small one serving bag, canned fruits like mandarin oranges, peaches in lite syrup, yogurt w a bit of granola sprinkled in or add fruit, celery sticks w lite ranch, carrot sticks, grapes, cantaloupe, bran cereal, small salad w a litle dressing.
this time of year many areas have access to bags of nectarines at the local grocery store. I eat several a day when i find them. You can eat small portions of whatever you want, as long as you make sure you do not go past the calorie allowance you have decided upon. people can tell me all day long that counting calories does not work for them and i will never believe it.
1300 calories= 1 pound.
many say “oh ill just exercise for an hour and it will be like i never ate it.” But will you? And can you? To lose 1 pound you have to lose 1300 calories. have yall ever looked at which exercises burn what amount of calories? It is pathetic to work so hard and have lost so faw. A mile run will only burn about half the calories you need to lose a pound. I certainly can not run a mile.
by drinking only zero calorie drinks you will see a significant change in body size and scale amount within a month. Bloat and water weight should drop steadily. The lack of sugary sodas alone will show a difference. Coke Zero isnt that bad and the Cherry Coke Zero is pretty decent as well.
I lost 70lbs by cutting calories. It starts slow as your body readjusts itself to your new intake. Results are not immediate. But by week 3 you will notice some of that extra skin you despised is now smoother and not as “in the way“.
I shopped at Goodwill during my weight loss months because my pants size was steadily getting smaller and it became too expensive to buy a brand new size of jeans every 2-3 weeks when it really started to come off.
i lived in track pants and t shirts and tennis shoes for many months. I saved up for new cute clothes once i reached my goal weight. Look online in places like Pinterest for good meal ideas in your chosen calorie allowance. Youll be very surprised at how much you will be able to have and that it will make you feel full when prior you would have run for seconds before finishing the first of it.
get some popsicle molds and make smoothies using frozen fruit in your blender. Pour the smoothie into the popsicle molds and freeze. Quick daily snack or desert!
make a non-resolution that you can take hot bubble baths during the week, and add epsom salts and essential oils or fun bath bombs or bubbles. You deserve it!
find some really cool apps for your phone or tablet to pass the time! I love photo editors so ive got a zillion of those, and slideshow makers, info organizers, and fun to play with apps that you can draw kaleidoscope designs with, or swirls of color, and you can even download free coloring book apps.
i will put together a list of fun and cool sites found online to help pass time or give your mind something to focus on other than this program crap!!
so i say fuuuuuck new year’s resolutions. Im not gonna make myself feel guilty for forgetting the rules by day 2.
This year i will be bold, i will be brave, if someone does me wrong i will call them out immediately.
If someone is rude to me for no reason im gonna let em know how i feel about that too.
If i see someone keep staring at me im gonna look em dead in the eye and say “What? Can i help you?”

Standing too close to me in line? Expect me to turn around and tell you back the fuck up.
Crowding in front of that item i need on the shelf too long? Youll notice me. ill just say “thank you” as i reach around your head and get what i need to complete my errands.
Decide to drive fast and crowd my back bumper? I will ease my foot off the gas and let the car slow down by itself. If youre in such a hurry you can go the fuck around me.
following rules placed by an establishment or the lawbooks is not stupid, being a do gooder, or kissing the govts ass- its being smart and helping keep you in your own house where you can have your own rules if you desire.
Me putting on a mask so i will be allowed to purchase food for the week does not make me a sell-out or an idiot etc.
choose your battles wisely.
If i have to wear a mask for 20-30 minutes while grabbing food & supplies that will keep me alive the next few weeks then by god ill wear em on my damn knees too!!
i dont have the gift of unlimited time on earth to try and pull the “badass” card and put on a show for attention and be a “rebel” and not wear one. I dont want to be hassled, told to leave, be forced to leave or get arrested. Its a fuckin cloth. Save yourself the drama and be a damn adult about it.
We are not protesting freedom no matter what people say it is about in the long run.
Dont make me protest YOU for fuckin up my smooth day of getting errands done. So simple.
